It can be scary moving in to a new Houston Apartment but no need to worry! Today we have you covered on how to survive the first night in your new pad!
You should pack all the small items you'll need on your first night in your new Houston luxury apartment in a travel bag. For example, you'll want to pack pajamas for the nighttime. Also, pack your toiletries, a roll of toilet paper, medication, your cell phone and a charger, etc. Don't forget to place your tablet or computer in the bag as well along with some DVDs for late-night movie watching.
Your “open first” box should include what you need to get through the evening and next morning. Start with your bedding so you have something to sleep on. Don’t forget your shower items!
Place a variety of just-in-case items inside like a mini tool kit, extra light bulbs, matches, and batteries. Additionally, if you want your favorite cup of coffee in the morning, store your grounds and coffee in the box as well.
If you are hiring a moving company or plan on renting a truck, place your first night bag and boxes in your car. This way you'll have easy access to them and won't be left searching around your new place.
If you have a pet, you'll want to pack it a first night box as well. If you have a cat, store its kitty litter, tray, bowls, toys and some food in this box. Label it clearly so you can find it easily. It is also a smart idea to pack a cardboard scratcher of some kind so your furry friend doesn't ruin your furniture or the baseboards in your new pad.
For dogs, pack food, bowls, bones and other toys. Additionally, if your pet has a bed or blankets that it loves, be sure to place it inside the container as well. Lastly, don't forget to pack any medication that your pet might need during the night.
